Walkers Pops are their attempt at crisps which are ‘air popped’ for a bit of a healthier crisp without as much oil. They have now been discontinued, probably due to low sales and over saturation from the Walkers brand who, in our opinion, make too many crisps! There is also the competition with Popchips. Either way, we’ve run the numbers.
They did come in 23g loose packs but you will most likely encounter the multi pack version which are 19g, we’ll cover the syn values of both!
Walkers Pops Syn Values
A bag of Walkers Pops weighs 23g and contains 101 calories. This means that a bag of Walkers Pops is worth 5.1 syns. This is a relatively low amount of syns per bag so one of the lowest syn crisp options out there.
If you opted for the 19g multipack then they are worth 83 calories. This is comparable to Pom Bears (4.8) and Space Raiders (6.2). The syns per gram is 0.22 which is excellent.
Are Walkers Pops Syns worth it?
Walkers Pops appear to be a low syn selection because the crisps are light and the bags are small. When looking at the syns/calories per gram (0.25) it’s obvious that they are also rather excellent in that regard, presumable because they are air fried without as much oil and therefore lower in fat and sugars. 0.22 is very respectable comparable to Squares, Walkers Baked and Wotsits which are right at the top of the league table.
Walkers Baked, although discontinued, were a strong crisp to spend syns on and the next best thing is probably Walkers Baked.
