A Twix is a pack containing two identical sticks (regardless of the great marketing campaign) of caramel shortbread covered in milk chocolate. The name Twix comes from the words twin and bix, bix being an informal term for biscuit. My own personal theory was a shortened version of the old name for two being betwixt. Oh well.
They’re very popular, not just for their flavour but because there are two sticks inside so eating them in moderation is made a little easier.
But, how does the humble Twix fair in terms of their syn values? How much is it for 1 stick or both in one sitting? Let’s find out.
Twix Syn Values
A Twix, counting both sticks, weighs 50 grams and contains 248 calories. This means that a pack of Twix is worth 12.4 syns with a ratio of 0.25 syns per gram. This is about average and comparable to a Double Decker, Dairy Milk Fruit & Nut and a Starbar.
A single stick of Twix would be 6.2 syns each.

Are Twix worth the syns?
Twix are not a healthy snack, but that is why they are design to eat in moderation alongside a balanced and healthy diet. That being said, we’ve done the numbers to find out if Twix are worth the syns.
12.4 syns is a lot for just one bar, which is why it’s convenient to eat just one stick at 6.2 each. You could eat one now and then the other later and still be within your syn allowance. However, if you check our chocolate list there are several others that are a lot fewer syns per pack than these.
When looking at the syn to gram ratio of 0.25, it’s about average, nothing special but certainly not the worst. 0.25 per gram is about the same as Wispa Gold, KitKat Chunky and a Starbar.
However, when comparing the syns per gram with every other it doesn’t score too badly with a SynScore of 74%, just behind a Bounty (77%) and above the Wispa Gold (71%). This makes it a fairly efficient way of spending your syns.
