Toblerones are an important from Switzerland and has a distinctive shape, segments and even a flavour. A bit of a ‘pushing the boat out’ chocolate often saved for special occasions, especially the comically large bars at Christmas. The actual flavour is milk chocolate, almond nougat and honey which would be unique even if it was shaped like a traditional bar.
For reference, the Toberlone bar this is based on is 100g, but when we get into the syns per gram and the SynScore it doesn’t matter what the weight is as it is standardised.
But, how many syns is a bar of Toblerone? How does it compare to other chocolate bars and is it worth your syns? Let’s find out!
Toblerone Syn Values
A bar of Toblerone weighs 100 grams and contains 528 calories (!). This means the Toblerone bar contains 26.4 syns, each. These are massive numbers which are high and above the biggest in the list, the nearest being a Bounty at 13.9. However, with its shape and snappable triangles a Toblerone can be eaten in moderation.

Are Toblerones worth the syns?
Toberlones are one of a kind in terms of their flavour and their shape. Their syns per bar is astronomical but if you aren’t eating the whole thing in one go they are manageable.
Almonds are calorie dense, as is honey and chocolate – hence the high calories, but it is also heavy at 100 grams giving it a massive disadvantage.
A Toblerone has a ratio of 0.26 syns per gram, which is high, but not the absolute highest considering what we’ve already said. It’s about the same as a Boost, Snickers and Toffee Crisp.
Lastly, the SynScore for a Toblerone is 35%, a pretty poor score but there are a couple worse and it’s not rock bottom despite being bottom for syns per bar. This score is similar to a Freddo (39%) and Twirl (32%).
