A Picnic is a popular chocolate bar consisting of a few different flavours and textures – crispy wafer, chewy caramel, peanuts and dried grapes (currants). Then it’s washed over with classic Cadbury milk chocolate. This is a full on chocolate bar which can fill you up due to its denseness and variety of ingredients.
How does the Cadbury Picnic compare with its contemporaries? How many syns are in each? And is it worth your precious syns?
We take a look at the all important stats and give some of our expert insight into Syn values, syn per grams and our exclusive metric the SynScore!
Cadbury Picnic Syn Values
A single bar of Cadbury Picnic weighs 48.4 grams each and contains 232 calories. This means that a single bar of Picnic is worth 11.6 syns each and has a ratio of 0.24 syns per gram of weight. The single syn value is similar to a Galaxy (11.5), a Twirl (11.4) or three Lindor balls (11.6).

Are Picnics worth the syns?
At 11.6 syns per bar, the Picnic is on the heavy side, but it is a heavy bar in weight and it does contain a lot of calories via peanuts, dried fruit and the chocolate.
In terms of syns per gram, the Picnic fares better. At 0.24 syns per gram the Picnic is towards the top of the table and efficient – 0.24 per gram is the same as a Lion and a Bounty and just under a Double Decker and Crunchie.
Lastly, its SynScore is 84% which is a very good score. This score means out of all the chocolate bars out there how close to the best syns per gram bar is it.
So, although the Picnic is not a healthy snack (otherwise it wouldn’t have a syn score!) it is however marginally better than most chocs and an efficient use of syns should you choose this one over some of the others.
